6 DAYS RAFTING AND WILDLIFE ADVENTURE

The wildlife of Uganda is composed of its flora and fauna. Uganda has a wide variety of different habitats, including mountains, hills, tropical rainforest, woodland, freshwater lakes, swamps and savanna with scattered clumps of trees. The country has a biodiverse flora and fauna reflecting this range of habitats and is known for its primates, including gorillas and chimpanzees. There are ten national parks and thirteen wildlife reserves; some 345 species of mammal and 1020 species of bird have been recorded in the country.

Day 1: Arrival

Upon your arrival in to the country, you will receive a warm welcome from one of our company driver guides who will thereafter transfer you to your hotel in Kampala. Time allowing you will go birding in the botanical gardens in Entebbe or alternatively have a city tour and familiarize with the true Ugandan paradise within the great of its capital Kampala.  Places to visit may include the Kasubi tombs, Namirembe cathedral, Bahai temple, Namugongo martyrs shrine, the Uganda wildlife Educational Centre. Dinner overnight at Speke hotel/Avesta hotel/Rochester hotel.

Day 2: Drive to Jinja

You will be picked from your hotel in Kampala after your breakfast and drive to the beautiful Jinja Town which approximately 81km and takes about 2hours. Enjoy enroute the magnificent greenery of Madhvani tea plantations and the Kakira sugar plantations. You will also be rewarded with views of the spectacular Mabira forest, enjoy the cool breeze as you drive through this forest. Have a city tour in Jinja and enjoy your lunch in Jinja town at The Source café/MotiMahal/The black lanternrestaurant and thereafter proceed to the source of the Nile claimed to have been discovered by John Speke. You will transfer for dinner and overnight at Wild waters lodge/Hotel Triangle/Bridge way Guest House

Day 3: Rafting Adventure tour

After your breakfast you will setoff for the most exciting adventure in Jinja on the Nile River. This will take you through the magnificent rapids on the Nile and also reward you with spectacular views of the bird haven on this magnificent Nile River. Turn back to Jinja town and have lunch at The Source café/MotiMahal/The black lanternrestaurant. Transfer back to Kampala for dinner and overnight atSpeke hotel/Avesta hotel/Rochester hotel.

Day 4: Drive to Murchison Falls National Park

 

After your breakfast you will drive off to Murchison falls National Park through the famous Luwero Triangle and Budongo forest on the western arm of the Great Rift Valley which is approximately 213km with around 4 to 5hours driving to Masindi.The drive will reward you with spectacular scenery views. Have lunch in Masindi town at Traveller’s conner restaurant/Jazz restaurant/Kabalega restaurant. Upon your arrival in the park, you will drive to the magnificent top of the falls where the Nile perfects its splendor with views of the thunderous roar of the white water as the calm Nile forces its way through the narrow gorge. Transfer for dinner and overnight atParaa Safari Lodge/Sambiya Lodge/Red Chili

Day5:  Game Drive and Launch cruise

After your cup of tea, you will embark on a morning game drive in the park and catch up with the habitant early risers besides other predators. Possible sightings may include the side striped jackals, Rothschild’s giraffes, Jackson’s hartebeest, Uganda Kob, warthog, oribi among others especially in the delta circuit. Go back at the lodge and have lunch.

In the afternoon you will get on board for further a game viewing adventure on the Launch cruise along the Nile River that will reward you with sights of the hippos, crocodiles, Defassa water bucks, bush bucks, black and white colobus and also small herds of buffalos. The cruise may further reward you with views of bird life that may include; the shoebill, African fish eagle, Goliath Heron, saddle-billed stork, African jacana and the malachite kingfisher, rock pratincle, black headed gonolek, black winged red bishop, yellow-mantled window bird and the colorful red-throated bee eater and the rare Egyptian plover. Return for dinner and overnight stay atParaa Safari Lodge/Sambiya Lodge/Red Chili.

Day 6: Bird watching

Immediately after your breakfast you will have another adventurous experience in the morning bird watching through a different trail. This will be a chance of spotting the bird species like shoebill, African fish eagle, Goliath Heron, saddle-billed stork, African jacana and the malachite kingfisher, rock pratincle, black headed gonolek, black winged red bishop. Go back at your lodge for lunch andafter you will transfer back to Kampala/Entebbe as you enjoy sightings of enroute flora and fauna of the beautiful country Uganda.
