Uganda Primates Safari: Gorillas, Chimpanzees and many others- 8 days.

Day 1 Drive to Kibale Forest National park

Early morning breakfast, pick from the hotel by the tour driver depart o Kibale national park via Mubende have a lunch stopover in Mubende then proceed to Kibale. Reach kibale check in, have rest. In the evening, Bigodi Swamp walk in a unique community tourism initiative that has helped increase household income of the local community through tourism. Enjoy a walk in this swamp that is known for its rich bird life and primate species all the while leaving a positive economic impact in the local community by merely visiting the swamp. Proceed to the Albertine Rift valley where in addition to baboons and other monkeys you will enjoy the beautiful scenery of the rift valley, numerous sightings of big game like elephant , lion, hippopotamus as well as numerous colorful birds like , swallows,kingfishers and weavers. Dinner and overnight at Kibale Safari Lodge and meal plan full board.

Day 2 Chimpanzee tracking

After an early breakfast, have a general briefing about the tracking then head for chimpanzee tracking with packed bottled water. Trek through thick forest undergrowth as you look out for chimpanzees in Kibale Forest National Park as well as several other primate species including vervet monkeys, red tailed monkeys and the adorable black and white colubus monkeys among others. Come back at the lodge and rest. In the late afternoon transfer to queen Elizabeth National Park. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge

Day 3 Game Drive and Boat Cruise

After having an early breakfast, have a morning game drive within the park for more Savanna Species. You’ll have a good chance of spotting a variety of game herds such as Uganda kob, buffalo and topi as well as elephants. In the afternoon we take a boat ride on the Kazinga Channel for water birds like the Great White and Pink-backed Pelicans, African Skimmer, Yellow-billed and the Saddle- billed storks, African Wattled Lapwing, Long-toed Lapwing, Black-winged Stilt, Water Thick-knee, Collared Pratincole, the Grey-headed, Black-headed and Slender-billed Gulls, Grebes, Ducks and many more. Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge (Full board)

Day 4 Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable

Have breakfast and finally proceed to one of Uganda’s most beautiful are Bwindi Impenetrable forest to enjoy the once in a lifetime experience of tracking gorillas with your lunch enroute. Arrive in the evening check in, have dinner and overnight at Buhoma lodge.

Day 5 Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

After an early morning Coffee, meet up with the tour guide for some guidelines about the tracking. Spend a day trekking up the steep forested mountains to the abode of the gorillas and enjoy up to an hour in the presence of these magnificent pacific apes in their natural habitat. Have your packed lunch then return back to the lodge. Refresh and relax.

 Day 6 Birding in Buhoma

Have an early breakfast then go at the briefing point, be briefed by the guide and proceed for the activity with your binoculars. As we bird to Buhoma, we look out for species like, the Black Bee-Eater, Dusky Tit, Brown-caped Weaver, the Yellow-billed and yellow-spotted Barbets, the African and Black-and-white Shrike-flycatchers, Common Stonechat, Brown-throated and Chestnut Wattle-eyes, Apalises, just to mention but a few of the forest species. Return back to the lodge and do refreshment.

Day 7 Transfer to Bunyonyi islands.      

Relax in the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi islands. Enjoy a canoe ride on Lake. Overnight and dinner at Bunyonyi Safari Resort.

Day 8 Return back home.

Drive back to Kampala or Entebbe have a stopover via Equator Crossing for some photograph and snacks.
