8 DAYS PRIMATES AND WILDLIFE SAFARI
DAY 1
Arrival at Entebbe International Airport. You will be received by representatives from Prime Tours Uganda.
Transfer to Imperial Resort Hotel for relaxation and refreshment.
Embark on journey en route Lake Mburo National Park, brief stopover at the equator for photos and buying locally made crafts that you may want to have on the journey.
Lunch in Masaka town at restaurant of choice.
Continue to Lake Mburo national park about 30km east of Mbarara town.
Sign in for the evening game drive in the park where you expect to see zebras, impala, African buffalo, hippos, kobs to name but a few.
Overnight stay Mihingo lodge
DAY 2
Early morning game drive. Return to the lodge for midmorning breakfast after which you relax as you view the beautiful lake Mburo on the other side.
You can now choose to do quad biking in the park. It is quite an interesting experience and can only be done in Lake Mburo National Park and not any other park.
Lunch in restaurant of choice in Mbarara town then continue with journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Evening game drive through the grassy Kasenyi plains. Chances of sighting lions are high in this place. You will be amazed…
Overnight stay Mwea Safari Lodge
DAY 3
Drive to Ishasha, the most remote section of the park. It is home to the famous Tree climbing lions. There is also a swamp that is endowed with numerous bird species like the rare shoe bill stock, collared pratincole, palm-nut vuture, Pel’s fishing owl to name but a few. Herds of buffalos and elephants are likely to be seen in the grasslands.
Lunch at Mwea Safari Lodge
Early afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga channel where you will see schools of hippos swimming in the water.

DAY 4
Drive to Kyambura gorge for chimpanzee tracking. Watch out for other primates too like black and white colobus monkey, your trek is likely to lead you into Maramagambo forest.
Head to Fortportal town and have lunch at Gardens restaurant.
Visit Amabere ga nyina mwiru along Bundibugyo road.
Proceed to the hotsprings in Semiliki National Park. Semiliki is also a renowned birders’ haven. Expect to see various birds among which are Black-wattled Hornbill, Blue-headed crested flycatcher, Brown-crowned eremomela, Congo serpent eagle to name but a few.

DAY 5
Proceed to Kibale National Park
Brief stopover at Lake Nyabikere for photos of the panoramic view. Continue to Kanyanchu where you will sign in for chimpanzee trekking.
Lunch at Primate Lodge
Guided nature walk where you will see primates like Olive baboons, red colobus monkey, and black and white colobus monkey among others. Butterflies with different beautiful colour patterns will also be seen on trees.
DAY 6
You didn’t have enough time with man’s closest cousins, the chimpanzees? Well here is another chance to enjoy time with these great apes. The chimpanzee habituation experience at Kanyanchu.
Enjoy packed lunch as you get along the day’s activities.

DAY 7
Swamp walk at Magombe swamp in Bigodi village. Expect to see various birds like Yellow spotted nicator, Yellow rumped tinkerbird, and little greenbul, Green breasted pitta to name but a few. Primates like red colobus monkey, blue monkey sometimes cross from Kibale National Park and can be sighted.

DAY 8
Journey back to Kampala
Stopover in Mubende for refreshment.
You will be dropped at choice location in Kampala city or at the airport in Entebbe for an evening flight.
