3 DAYS LAKE MBURO TOUR

Lake Mburo National Park is located in the western region of Uganda in Lyantonde about 208km and it takes around 2 to 3hours driving from Kampala via Mbarara-Masaka road. Lake Mburo national park contains much woodland as there are no elephants to tame them, it is a home of many animals species such as; Impala, zebra, eland, buffalo, oribi, Defassa waterbuck, leopard, hippo, topi and reedbuck.

Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park.

You will be picked up from your hotel in Kampala, and transfer to Lyantonde in western Uganda where Lake Mburo National Park is found. Stopover at the equator to take photos and you could buy handcrafts you may need while on tour. Proceed to Masaka town and have lunch at Tropic Inn/Vitamin Bar/Café Frikadellen restaurants. Continue to Lake Mburo National Park located about 30km east of Mbarara town.

Upon reaching the park, go for the evening nature walk. Guided nature walks in Lake Mburo are some of the most alluring and Unique activities that you’ll find in any of Uganda’s parks. This is so because once you are in the company of an armed park ranger, you are permitted to walk anywhere in the park. This gives tourists the unique chance to get out and about and absorb the wonders of the African bush without the confines of a vehicle. Dinner and overnight stay Mburo Safari lodge

 Day 2: Game drive and Boat cruise

Take your morning breakfast, go for an evening game drive as you expect to see more animal species like see zebras, hippos, impala, African buffalo, warthog, common elands among others, you will turn back for lunch.

In the afternoon, go for a boat cruise. An afternoon boat cruise on the famous Lake Mburo is one of the most sought after activities. The cruise provides great opportunities to see hippos and crocodiles. Water bird species are often too numerous for even the keenest birder to identify them all. These interesting wildlife encounters together with the stunning scenery and panoramic landscape views will really leave a lasting impression upon you about the true African beauty. Day 3: Visit to Igongo Cultural Centre and Departure.

After your morning breakfast, go watch the beautiful view of the overlying savannah grassland and the magnificent Lake Mburo on the other side. You may also spot some families of klipspringers though these are rare.

Check out of the lodge and proceed to Mbarara town where you will visit Igongo Cultural Center. Here you will appreciate the traditions of the Banyankole people and the history of the long horned cattle. Have a city tour in Mbarara and have lunch at Shaheen restaurant/Agip Motel/Café Havana. Embark on journey back to Kampala from where you will be taken to Entebbe Airport for your flight.
